This Sea Station consists of two separate facilities. One of these is the Wakkanai Port Service Center which is used extensively by port visitors, fishing boat crews and persons involved in the port. The other is the Wakkanai Fukukou Ichiba, Japan's most northerly combined facility. It offers souvenirs, hot springs and meals, etc.

Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu is Japan’s most northerly national park. At the foot of Mount Rishiri (one of Japan’s 100 famous peaks) Kanrosensui water (one of Japan’s 100 famous spring waters) bubbles up from the ground.
